Newcomers at this easy-to-miss, suburban bar are sure to turn a few heads. But only for a second. Regulars quickly resume watching baseball on the flat screen or scratching lotto tickets while drinking domestic beer as if no one had entered. A tiled but typical sports bar-with neon signs out front, a pool table in back, and a digital jukebox somewhere between, Aloysia's only emerges from its beer-induced haze when bartenders serve lots of drinks energized by Red Bull on weekends and when football fans gather on Monday nights. If the loud cheering amid Yankees and Jets posters get to be too much, the parking lot (which doubles as the smoker's lounge) should provide relief from the claustrophobia.
Picnics with a view, roller-skating nostalgia, and a party for gay headbangers.
