Annie Moore, an Irish teenager, was the first immigrant ever processed at Ellis Island. Her namesake bar is a spacious gastropub next to Grand Central Station that boasts polished timber, high ceilings and white tablecloths. While Moore is spacious and airy, the post-work rush means you may still have to hustle to claim a spot at the bar, (where it’s very likely you will have an actual Irishman serve you). Despite the suits, a low-key atmosphere prevails.
Picnics with a view, roller-skating nostalgia, and a party for gay headbangers.
