The jury is out. Nay-sayers insist that B-Bar’s moment has passed and that it now draws only bridge-and-tunnel drinkers in pursuit of the trendy Gothamites who have, little do they know, moved on to less hyped locales. B Bar’s defenders, on the other hand, point out that Beige, the weekly A-list gay party, remains the place to be on Tuesday night, and no matter if B Bar’s crowd includes a few less bold-faced names, the outdoor patio will always have its appeal when the weather’s right. Some things, however, never change: You’ll still get plenty of attitude from the doorman and from the bartender serving your over-priced drinks. But that’s what you came here for, no?

Where to dance with no curfew, ride bikes in the dark, sample a dozen rare mescals, and master the art of Skee-Ball.
