Located in the five-star Plaza Athénée Hotel, this plush, leather-floored bar offers a haute-colonial ambiance for an international clientele. Wide arches and heavy velvet curtains give way to red lacquered walls hung with African, Asian, and Moroccan art, while oversized potted plants are scattered around deep, animal-print couches. Although the bar is mostly frequented by hotel guests, you don't have to be an international man of mystery to pamper your jet lag in this polished boîte where silver dishes of complimentary salty snacks whet appetitites for aperitifs.
