At this extension of the eponymous Euro eatery a block away, an accommodating staff commands a spiral-bound spreadsheet of over 100 hand-selected Italian and Spanish wines by the glass, taste or bottle. The whitewashed, Old World interior gets a boost of authenticity from its age-worn hardwood floor and unseasoned clapboard walls, relics of its three decades as an antique store. A puck-shaped green lantern, the size of a kiddy pool, pours down soft light from the center of the thin room, and overlooks prep cooks churning out Italian cheese plates, cured meats, and a menu of small Mediterranean-inspired cold plates and Panini from market-style stations flanking the walls. In back, a D.J. spins for a boisterous crowd of UES professionals in a narrow, futuristic lounge stuffed to the walls with red pouffes and little black coffee tables strung along a red suede banquette. — Rob Fischer
