When former bartender Anthony LoPorto bought out this pub’s previous owner in 2002, he knocked down a few walls and started building a serious beer list. Now, he boasts a selection of 55 bottled brews and 21 drafts, five of which rotate every three months to keep up with seasonal offerings. Almost as surprising as the spectrum of suds is the scope of the food menu, which encompasses wings and fries as well as bacon-wrapped scallops and homemade zucchini sticks. There's room for every stripe of sports fan at the 30-foot bar on the open-floored main room and in the slightly cozier adjoining parlor, too. The 13 game-tuned TVs that pepper the pub keep fans sated, and if the home team hits the skids, backslapping patrons can sample the arcade games at back. Just watch out for the dartboard as you round the corner.
Picnics with a view, roller-skating nostalgia, and a party for gay headbangers.
