Plenty of pubs serving nachos and sports line this stretch of the Upper East Side, but they each work a different angle. Becky's, furnished in light woods, sports banners and Guinness ads, has a hard rock edge, playing loud AC/DC and Nirvana in order to energize the groups of friends in their twenties and thirties who fill the side and back dining areas while downing cheese-covered English chips, personal pizzas and sirloin burgers. (A few Harley-riding men bring an edge to the bar proper.) The grub is matched by 24 draft beers like Old Speckled Hen, as well as local brews like the Six Points Ale. The staff is accommodating to lone sports fans, who can watch any game broadcast over cable or satellite on the bar's 19 TV monitors, including 10 flat screens and a 56" rear projection screen.

The kitchen is open from 11:30am to 1am on Sunday to Wednesday, and until 2am from Thursday to Saturday. Delivery is available until a half-hour before the kitchen closes.
