Profile

Okay, here’s the right way to go to BLVD: Recruit a friend with a few hundred to spare, have him (or her) buy a bottle to secure a table, and then waltz into BLVD with the ease of a B-list celebrity. Here’s the wrong way to go to BLVD: Any way other than the right way—unless you’re into waiting on a massive line and being degraded by a British bouncer with a very official-looking walkie-talkie. If and when you’re inside the sizeable club, there are various rooms to wander, and a large dance floor towards the rear on which girls in tube-tops ("Oh my God, you went to Michigan, too?!") and guys with spiked hair grind to mainstream hip-hop and rock. If you don’t want to deal with elbowing your way to the long oak-glazed bar in the front room, there are cocktail waitresses to take your drink order, as well as white-leather tables reserved for bottle service scattered throughout. If you do manage to get in, just let loose, dance, and ignore the hype.

Good Vibe, Good Music

I forgot how much I loved this place! I used to go to BLVD all the time, then ended up going to some of the newer clubs around. I just went there this past Saturday for my friend's birthday and the place was awesome. We didn't have any problems at the door. Since my friend got bottles she put us on a guestlist which got us in for free and we skipped the line, which was pretty sweet. I would definately recommend this place to those who like good music, a good crowd, and good (strong) drinks.

Terrible!!

The one time I went to BLVD was for a friend's birthday party in July. They charged me $15 admission fee for being on the comp list. Then there was a stinky smell, some type of sulfur gas downstairs in the basement. After escaping to the ground floor, 30 minutes later the unpleasant gas like smell spread all over the main floor. I say BLVD is a health hazard place with too much attitude. Overall it was the worse bar experience I had in New York.
