While not quite in keeping with the Thai kitchens, boutiques, and M.B.A. bars in its Upper East Side vicinity, this homey Irish pub wears its conspicuous nonstyle with a pride fueled by equal parts Bud Light, Fox News, and K-Rock. Dart and pool leagues and a loud happy hour spiked with "damn good Bloodys" make for unpretentious after-work relief, and its modest size and spartan decoration pattern—Support the Troops change jars, beer-brand mirrors—is a welcome alternative to its neon-happy counterparts. It’s an aesthetic no doubt enforced by the elders in Kangols and builders in Carhartts that call this place home.

Picnics with a view, roller-skating nostalgia, and a party for gay headbangers.
