Profile

Calling itself  "New York's premier champagne salon," Bubble Lounge offers more than 300 types of champagne and sparkling wines. Indulging in these decadent pleasures, it's easy to feel a certain refinement, but Bubble stumbles across that thin line between tasteful and tacky. Hundreds of backlit bottles decorate the room garishly, and the bubbly-related posters in black-lacquer frames seem gimmicky and heavy-handed (okay, we get it...it's a champagne bar). Businessmen scan the room for hapless young females to impress with bottles of brut. For those who do get lucky, there's the cozy Krug Room downstairs, where couples can recline and let the bubbly take effect.

If you work or live in the Tribeca area, it's obviously a well known place. You've either been there through a work function or heard of it. It's not a bad place to take a date who does not live in Tribeca if you're looking to impress them. Staff is sporadic: I've have great service and horrible service. DO NOT ORDER THE CHEESE APPETIZER unless you like paying $50 for cheese portions so small that Jerry would turn it down.
