The extent to which you believe this bar is a medieval tavern is dependant on how drunk you get since the nearly only thematic indicator is a giant mural featuring an angel contemplating a baked potato. Let the past be damned. Hordes of students from nearby SVA and Baruch descend upon Bull's Head to bump elbows with late twenties businessmen, to sample the beer and tequila selections, and to entertain themselves with an array of entertainment: two pool tables, some dart boards, Big Buck Hunter, and an internet jukebox. A second area in the rear—where the Jim Roberti Duo rocks a wall-to-wall audience on Thursdays— can be curtained-off and reserved for private functions at no additional cost. The scantily clad barmaids, aside from pouring drinks, can recommend places willing to deliver takeout to your barstool.
