1439 York Ave.,
New York, NY 10021
|
This venue is closed.
The facade of this York Avenue bar aims to emulate a wood cabin, but don't expect a hunting lodge inside since one lone stuffed deer head is the single visible sign of the great outdoors. Sportsmanship is more evident near the pool table and the massive television showing baseball, basketball and football in the back. Furthermore, Ted Nugent would happily rest his crossbow here thanks to a seriously stacked touch-screen jukebox, karaoke Thursdays, and live jazz/rock/acoustic bands on Fridays and Saturdays. Although the place fills up on weekends, few venture far out of their way to quaff domestic drafts at Cabin Fever since it's a hike from the 6 train, no matter how you cut it. But if you're in the neighborhood, this is a safe bet for watching big hockey matches and slapping high fives with guys in Adidas shower shoes and frayed baseball caps.
Best of New York: Fun & Nightlife
Cocktails at the movies, a Monday-night bacchanal, and a great rookie-rap show.
