This casual East Village-style lounge keeps Astoria's hipsters happy with its boho decor, art exhibitions and world-beat soundtrack. But it's also a big hit with the local Greek and Cypriot populations—young and old alike—who stay 'til the wee hours playing board games and drinking ouzo. The vegetarian-friendly menu offers an eclectic, fairly priced array of salads, sandwiches and appetizers, including a fantastic platter of traditional Greek meats and cheeses. Great Atmosphere

I went to Cafe Bar in Astoria on a "first date" and it was perfect for it. You can sit at the bar inside, or you can go outside (when it's nice-if you can get a table) in the front or at a variety of different tables inside. The food was great, and our waiter's service was fantastic, though he was so busy with a billion tables it was hard to get a hold of him. The other waitress, IVANA, is absolutley beautiful and just as nice too! It's a great atmosphere, very friendly and mostly a younger crowd, 30 and under I'd say, but there were a couple of "older" people a well. I will definitely go again, for whatever-diner, brunch, etc.
