The eclectic décor at this neighborhood spot swings from loungey chic to sixties bohemian, with a dash of mod thrown in for good measure (we think). Freelancers and professionals are likely to scam off CafeBar’s free wi-fi all day, then return at night for a drink and dinner. The mostly organic, New American menu is a good reason to come back: crêpes, small plates, artisanal salads, sandwiches, and burgers are all available. (There’s also a daily brunch.) There are only three beers on tap, but the bottle selection is pretty diverse, and the full bar features plenty of frilly concoctions (moscow mules, mojitos, and the strange white-chocolate martini).
Picnics with a view, roller-skating nostalgia, and a party for gay headbangers.
