Cellar Bar feels like Disney World's take on an "authentic" wine cellar, complete with a vaulted gray brick ceiling and medieval chandeliers. After-work singles and hotel guests sit at the candlelit bar, munching wasabi peas and swilling expensive cocktails. Scantily clad waitresses in Victoria's Secret corsettes deliver bar food to guests reclining on leather couches, carefully patrolling the room to ensure high turnover. Yet despite its naked ambition to join the club of trendy hotel bars, this one leaves you with the unmistakable feeling that this cellar is oversold. — Christopher Brescia

Great for after work drinks

This place is the best for after work drinks! Have been here a couple of times on the weekend and it is very crowded but if you're into the pretty crowd thing, this is your place. Lots of glitz, perfect for the fashionista crowd. I actually prefer to go after work with a few of my coworkers for a few to unwind and the waitresses are so sweet. Also, the manager, I think his name is Isaac is very attentive to the room, he came over to us to check if we were enjoying ourselves. Yes, the prices are a bit high but hey, this is NYC you gotta pay to play!
