This Rockefeller Center Irish pub is a bit more upscale than its Times Square neighbors, though you’ll still have to dodge tourists of all stripes. Settle into a deep red booth and check out the cheery murals of NBC stars that don the walls (you’ll find pretty much anyone who’s ever worked for The Today Show or SNL). Park yourself at the bar to hear Christie’s staffers bicker over whose department is more culturally elite, or stop in near Christmas to watch visitors tumble through the doors with lights twinkling in their eyes. In the “off season,” the bar usually fills up after six with the Tishman Speyer and Time-Life crowds, plus the occasional flesh-and-blood NBC personality. — Kathryn H. Cusimano
