Profile

Cherry Tree is one of those quietly competent Park Slope bars that nails all the little things. The spot offers a ridiculous selection of 24 microbrews on tap, as well as a hundred bottles lurking in the refrigerators. The place itself is an understated assemblage of tile, wood, and brick, and a big bay window in the back looks out onto one of the nicest gardens in the borough. With two levels and burning tiki torches lit on the walls, you feel like you’re sitting in your own fort.

such a fun outdoor space. great beers and there's usually soccer playing on the tvs. it's just on 4th ave unfortunately.

A warm, friendly neighborhood bar

The big draw to this wonderful place is definitely the multi-layered outdoor patio. Sitting at the picnic tables under a big tree strung with lights, you feel like you're at a beer garden somewhere in Europe. The inside is just as special. Every time I'm there the people -- bartenders, owners, and other patrons -- are friendly and unpretentious. I like the selection of beer, and the bar food is authentic and hearty. Quirky decor and cherry wood stools add warmth, making this a great neighborhood place.
