Queuing up for drinks at this posh Middle-Eastern restaurant's lower-level bar is like fighting over sale racks at Barneys: Full-length furs and Jimmy Choo stilettos jockey for the best position. Lately, Chez Es Saada feels more Upper East Side than East Village. With brass lamps and a live belly dancer, the romantic Middle-Eastern theme is almost authentic. Drinks are pricey and delicious, with enticing names like Topaz Teardrop and Mirage; they're complemented by a large selection of wines, cognacs and single malts. Weeknights are a little more real, with a younger crowd, design-conscious Lower East Siders and the occasional celebrity.
