Accessed through a nearly hidden entrance and graced with a name more appropriate for a sitcom coffee shop, Cozy Café is actually a deceptively large hookah bar. The place is technically two rooms–a small back room and a larger one in front–but partitions separate the space into several smaller areas that give large groups some privacy. (The space can get a little crowded after 11, when people waiting for tables line the walls.) Overgrown couches stuffed in almost every corner and an overeager staff create an indulgent, pampered vibe, while the soundtrack of hip-hop- and techno-infused Middle Eastern jams, a resident belly dancer named Sira, and healthy late-night crowds punch up the party feel. There are 69 hookah flavors for choice, but a wallet-unfriendly one-drink-per-person and one-hookah-per-two-people minimum. Also a downer: plenty of beer and wine, but no liquor.
