The Cub Room is named after the VIP room in the exclusive Stork Club, New York's most famous nightclub once upon a time. After checking in with the maitre d', walk down to a sunken bar and lounge reminiscent of a rich man's study, sans the stuffiness (though there are plenty of bankers and lawyers). Wall-to-wall steel-framed windows provide a great view of SoHo street traffic outside, and the plush, upholstered banquettes invite you to plant yourself down and drink everything in—the crowd included. Your senses will find plenty to feast on, between the bar menu and the eye candy unwinding after work and after hours.
Extra"Isn't it a lovely room!" said Bette Davis while dining in the celluloid Cub Room of the 1950 flick All About Eve. A half-century and a new location later, the sentiment still rings true.
