The lowdown
This sprawling, 110-seat restaurant on W. Broadway is styled after a classic American public house. Chef Shane Lyons, who’s a Momofuku Noodle Bar vet, is doing riffs on hearty bar bites: His menu includes Country Fried Duck & Waffles (with fancy “French toast–style waffles”), spiced, candied nuts, and Distilled Wings. This kind of food goes well with booze, of course, and co-founder Benjamin Wood is overseeing the cocktails. You can enjoy his drinks, like the Easy Ryder, made with Michter’s rye, honey, ginger, lemon, and lemon basil.
