The vibe at this Irish pub in the Financial District is akin to its sister locale in Brooklyn Heights: there’s a similar spirit of authenticity, with traditional fare (Irish mash and sausages), thickly-accented bartenders, and, of course, Guinness on tap. It’s not totally Irish, though -- there are more conventional bar food standards, as well as central Europe draft offerings like Radeberger and Weihenstephaner. The look here is more classic New York than that of the homeland, as well, with a long, handsome wooden bar, red cushioned banquettes, framed black and white photographs of the ol’ FiDi neighborhood, a jukebox, four flat screen TVs, and a few dart boards to boot. Eamonn’s brings in occasional live music, and hosts a karaoke night on Fridays.
Best of New York: Fun & Nightlife
Cocktails at the movies, a Monday-night bacchanal, and a great rookie-rap show.
