Mere mortals looking to test themselves here should be forewarned: The populace is an intimidating mix of tic-ridden beanpoles and Super Mario clones who probably dream about spherical geometry. Eastside is a stick-shooter's oasis, with one large room full of regulation Brunswick tables sporting tournament-grade cloth; it's strictly business with little to no pick-up scene or bar traffic. The atmosphere is upper-echelon rec room, with gray carpeting, leather sofas, iPod tunes, and even frozen pizzas reheated in a toaster oven. Those who don't play pool can watch sports on a projector TV or, as perhaps makes more sense, try to improve their game by taking paid lessons from an Eastside regular.
Special NightsLeague games take place on Mondays and Tuesdays, and women play for $5 all night on Thursdays after 8pm.
