The West Village is stuffed with intimate, often crowded wine bars but Entwine has an edge: space. Between the two upstairs rooms, shaded patio out back, and cozy basement bar, there’s plenty of room to sneak in for a glass of wine or plate of couscous. The distressed-wood finishing, exposed brick, and artfully mismatched chairs and sofas create a comfortable and fashionably shabby vibe. A solid, dark wooden bar anchors the front room, while warm red walls downstairs make for an intimate, cozy den. The wine list pulls from around the world, and is complemented by a full menu of small Mediterranean plates.
