A very small, very neighborhood-centric bar that can be pretty dead on weeknights (in a good, meet-the-eccentric-locals kind of way), this basic taproom somehow manages to fit a band into the corner on crowded Friday nights. Smaller than some living rooms, this is the kind of place where neighbors get their mail and the bartender knows everybody’s name and drink. The dartboard in the corner sees some action at the hands of the bar’s dart team, and a backyard opens in the summer for smokers and the occasional outdoor afternoon party. The crowd here tends toward gray-haired rock-and-rollers, but varies widely, depending on what kind of event is on the schedule, or what group of eight people happens to wander in.

Picnics with a view, roller-skating nostalgia, and a party for gay headbangers.
