Conveniently docked next to happy-hour mainstays Ginger Man and Under the Volcano, this tavern takes its name from a handsome ship in Galway Bay. The Irish theme plays out in other ways, too: a classic pub menu with Irish breakfast round the clock; a “ye olde” sense of décor with orange curtains, dark walls, and a curving bar with brass accents. Sports fans gather up front for a twelve TV broadcast of the big game (or a twelve-by-nine-foot projection if it’s really big); others loosen up their ties at back for a game of pool and a glass of beer. The selection is substantial: 30 by the bottle, 30 on tap, among them the bar's own in-house stout and lager.
