Since 1996, The Gin Mill has hosted a good natured, non-stop frat party for sneaker-footed and jeans-clad 20-somethings, with Fordham and Columbia grads particularly well-represented. The décor is standard tavern: exposed brick, wood paneling and quirky bric-a-brac like beer steins, hurricane lamps, and ceramic figurines. Sports is what gets this crowd shaking: seventeen TVs tuned to NFL and NCAA games via satellite. (Florida Gator matches on Saturdays attract alumni from the Sunshine State.) In the back, the undergraduate mindset is furthered via Beer Pong. The simple dining room offers basic bar food like nachos, quesadillas and burgers, as well as fish and chips and Sloppy Joe sandwiches. Stella Artois and Sam Adams anchor a better than average list of draft beers.
ExtraAn outdoor seating area allows patrons to sip their beer under the sun during warmer months.
