Fitted backwards baseball caps and tallboys abound at this Irish-American sports pub, the unofficial watering hole for Gramercy-area Boston transplants and their girlfriends. Strategically placed plasma televisions display The Patriots and Red Sox, or if neither is playing, the Jets and the Mets (but never the Yankees). If the omnipresent memorabilia isn't enough to let you know that sports are paramount here, try to engage a fellow drinker in conversation that isn’t sports-related—you'll promptly realize that you're in the wrong bar. Exposed brick walls, a non-working fireplace, and wooden everything else create a cozy New England feel while the open layout provides plenty of seating. Although the martini list is surprisingly extensive, menu items like shepard's pie, beans on toast and beef stew are best washed down with a 20 oz. draft, or any one of the daily changing beer specials.
BrunchSat-Sun, 11am-4:30pm; $11.99, including two free drinks.
