Keith Harrison, a Boston native and long-time bartender, has brought a little New England (and a little United Kingdom) to the Upper West Side. Colonial-style metal lanterns throw light on exposed brick walls decorated with golf clubs, a map of Scotland, and a kilt—all nods to the owner's Scottish heritage. The five TVs are usually tuned to sports with three giant projection screens pressed into service for major events like the NYC Marathon or the playoffs. (Despite the BoSox insignias, Yankees fans are welcome.) Eight brews are on tap; six brands come in bottles. For harder stuff, Harrison takes pride in "an honest pour." A pub-grub menu—Buffalo wings, jalapeño poppers, fried calamari, burgers—is supplemented by more ambitious fare like penne à la vodka, roast turkey, steak tips and a few New England classics like franks with Boston baked beans.
