Profile

The former Brownies space has been widened and softened with tasteful red booths and a pool table in the the former stage area. Classic rock album covers line the walls and VH-1 Classics broadcasts from monitors over the bar as rock-crazed locals swill beer, wine and well drinks that are two-for-one from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on weeknights. But it's owner Mike Stuto's one-of-a-kind El-DJ mp3 jukebox that takes center stage here: 3,000 albums, more than 31,000 songs, all surfable from a hard drive via trackball. With selections ranging from the Dickies to Norah Jones to Shriekback to the Sahara Hotnights, it's nothing less than Jann Wenner's iPod at your beer-soaked fingertips. Hold me closer, Tiny Dancer.
