Home/Made

The charmingly tranquil wine bar at metal artist Leisah Swenson and chef Monica Byrne’s accessories shop, home/made, more than lives up to its name. A successor to the former Tini Wine Bar, it makes great use of its newer, more generous confines while retaining the carefully ordered details that set it apart, including all the steel and glass (imposed on a series of deep whites), works by local artists, and a bar fashioned from an old brownstone floorboards. Beyond a considerable wine list, complemented by a rotating draught roster, the house kitchen offers lighter, greener bread-and-cheese French fare for both dinner and weekend brunch.

Cocktails at the movies, a Monday-night bacchanal, and a great rookie-rap show.
