The House of Brews offers a near world tour of hops and barley, whisking you through a cornucopia of 100 beers from over 18 countries, from the obligatory Belgium brews to local microbrews. In a long, narrow space that's warmed by rust-colored walls and rich, dark woods, Banana Republic die-hards sit at tall round tables, or on faux-suede banquettes in the back as they quaff seasonal and limited brews. Highlights among the couple dozen tap beers include Chimay Tripel, handmade by Cistercian Trappist monks. Those overwhelmed by the myriad choices can try a four-ounce sampler glass of any draft. A limited wine and champagne selection, along with specialty cocktails and coffee drinks, is also available, but the food menu—which includes crisp pommes frites—is geared to the hopps-happy. As stated on their menu, "Life's too short to drink cheap beer."Extra
