Time Hotel
|
Formerly known as Time Lounge, this kitschy, seventies-chic hotel bar may be designed to wow the tourists staying in the Time Hotel, but its groovy theme also satisfies Forbes readers and the stars, understudies, and chorus lines of nearby musicals. Shaggy throw pillows collect on couches and zebra arm-chairs herd together around slinky tables, while a pool table and a Versailles’s worth of mirrors dominate the back of the bar. Standard Italian small plates—calamari, bruschetta—are available from the hotel restaurant, Serafina. Wash it down with the tame liquor offerings like Heineken and Sam Adams by the bottle, and glasses of wine listed by type varietals rather than vintage or country. Requisite fruity martinis—Apple, Sake, Lychee—and cheekily-named cocktails are also on hand. A house DJ spins hip-hop and Top 40s rock Thursday through Saturday nights.
