Johnny Foxes is a spacious, darkly lit Irish pub in the Upper East Side, perfectly serviceable for both a casual drink after work and a rowdy weekend night. The bar has 15 flat screen TVs, and you can see at least one from pretty much any seat in the room. (This isn’t a sports bar though, and the TVs aren’t distracting if you’re not there to watch a game). There are specials every night, from $4 Martini Tuesdays to $4 well drinks Saturdays, and great happy hour deals from 11am-8pm on weekdays. Food is served until 3am every night, and the menu features familiar but tastier than average bar fare. Monday is Trivia Night, which can be a pretty good investment: the winning team gets a free round.
BrunchSat-Sun, 10am-4:30pm; $11.95 including two complimentary drinks.

Cocktails at the movies, a Monday-night bacchanal, and a great rookie-rap show.
