An extravagant dot on an otherwise empty street – you have to pass the High Line on West 21st to get here – Juliet is something like a disco ball realized: the interior has a tiled glass floor, mirrored columns, and an intricate metal and light ceiling mimicking an outdoor starry night, all softened by thick red velvet curtains draped over the bar and entryways. The kitchen boasts easy to share Italian-inflected fare. Chef Emmanuel Simone's menu includes meatballs and goat cheese cake topped with tomato sauce and tuna carpaccio served with cucumber, radish, and arugula salad. The kitchen closes at 11 to make way for the nightly DJ; Juliet also throws a world party every Tuesday called “Eyes Wide Shut” pulling in everything from live belly dancers to accordion players.
Bottle ServiceAfter 11pm, the kitchen closes and tables are bottle service only.
Best of New York: Fun & Nightlife
Cocktails at the movies, a Monday-night bacchanal, and a great rookie-rap show.
