A sister bar to the famed Sing Sing, Shout boasts your classic NYC karaoke bar set-up: a chic, hard plastic lounge out in front with flatscreens beaming in music videos, and back rooms ranging from small (up to 5 people) to standard (5-7 revelers) to extra large (an impressive 15-30), going for $8 per person, per hour (that’s knocked down to $4 during happy hour). There are some nice distinctive touches, however, like iPod Touch remotes for searching the songbook, and phones in each room with a direct line to the bar. Fun fact: Shout is the rare spot that solicits the business of (sober) minors, with a 15% off deal for high-schoolers. Bring your IDs, kids, and just make sure to scram by 10pm. — Ben Lebeaux
