La Zarza Resto-Lounge
|
The dimly lit Argentine restaurant La Zarza's basement lounge is even cozier than its upstairs overlord: You’ll find exposed-brick walls, soft and intimate lighting (by candlelight as well as by fixture), and sprawling couches that look plucked from the backseats of luxury vehicles. The hardwood floor space is ample, with room aplenty for both sitters and standers. A slamming P.A. system and very capable house-music D.J.'s stock the downstairs on weekends with the beautiful and backless-dressed. You can sit back on a couch, sip a pinapple or coconut mojito, or eat one of the signature dishes (seviches, crocantitos) from the kitchen upstairs.
Best of New York: Fun & Nightlife
Cocktails at the movies, a Monday-night bacchanal, and a great rookie-rap show.
