Profile

This venue is closed.

This tri-level emporium for the suits and the scantily clad helped transform the Meatpacking District from freak zone to limousine parking lot. With a ground-floor fine-dining room, multiple bar and lounge areas and a downstairs disco, Lotus has become the center of the nightlife world in this region for a particular brand of suited, unfunky club-goer.

Extra

During the summer months, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., the club's sidewalk cafe, a primo people-watching spot, offers four specialty martinis paired with four bite-sized appetizers such as spring rolls or crab croquettes, for $22.

Note
The restaurant is open from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. Wednesdays through Saturdays

Nice and Sexy

Excellent food and service, the place was very sexy, and so was the crowd. I would definitely go back, with a date and a crowd. If youÂ’re a guy it is hard to get in without bottled service. Must have more girl to guy ratio.

Lotus makes weeknights worth it.

Lotus is one of the better nightclubs in Manhattan and it is my personal favorie. The weekends are crowded at any good club, but a week night is a little more exclusive and exactly what it should be, with the regulars being young rock/punk/models who come for an early night of music and clubbing. Double Seven across the street is a good place to visit before hitting Lotus because it is a quiet, comfortable, yet eloquent destination to step into before taking your crowd to the party pen at Lotus. The only negative side is the bathrooms do not really scream upscale club, but most people don't spend that much time in there anyway.
