Lounge 47 lives up to its name on both counts. Firstly, dim lighting, low couches, piped-in jazz, and a large patio out back cultivate a laid back attitude. Secondly, with 47th Avenue and 47th Road as its cross streets, the bar imprints its address on your memory. Considering its simple what-to-do/where-to-go moniker, the extensive, reasonably priced menu may come as a surprise. Tapas and bar food coexist happily so you’re just as likely to find wasabi deviled eggs as you are a pulled pork sandwich or mac-and-cheese. Either  can be washed down with the signature LIC Iced Tea (a Long Island with a peach twist). — Kevin Dwyer
