Nestled on an unassuming stretch in East Williamsburg, LP & Harmony is the type of venue that makes a dive bar look like it’s trying too hard. For the most part, that’s actually a good thing—this is an old-school neighborhood haunt where four-legged friends are welcome. The drink selection is eclectic, serving cocktails as well bottled beers and ales (although none on tap) at the meandering bar embedded with vinyl records. Much of the venue’s light comes courtesy of big-screen TVs scattered around the storefront space, usually tuned to the sport of the season. But they're turned off on the first Thursday of each month for the venue's monthly live music/open-mic night. And when lining up for the winning shot at one of the two pool tables, watch out for the oddball flooring: tiled bland black-and-white check like a public restroom which is often slippery.
