Lucky Jack's is the Dirk Diggler of Loisaida's drinking establishments. At over 50 feet long, Jack's copper-topped beauty of a bar spans almost the entire length of the narrow, block-long space. (There are entrances on both Orchard and Allen Streets.) But big bar aside, the place boasts plenty of other endowments. Brick walls accented by vintage-themed fixtures and a polished tin ceiling have a timeless appeal. The cherry-red pool table shows a little more edge. Despite the bevy of sleek, flat-screen TVs, the well-kept, mostly-male clientele is more metrosexual than Mets fan. The broad bottled beer selection spans the globe, with mostly stateside drafts. Specialty cocktails such as the ginger-soaked Heavy Water Mules and the fresh-squeezed, spiked lemonade are typically served, well, stiff.
