Lucky Strike aims for an upscale take on the classic bowling alley: Instead of ratty bar stools and neon, the bar is spotted with slinky furniture, huge, mirrorlike glass panels, glowing flat-screens, and heavy drapery; there’s also a D.J. spinning house and techno on the weekends, and bottle service. The kitchen is equally ambitious: Small plates include Asian Chicken Skewers, Grilled Salmon Lollipops, and something known as Grilled Apple and Brie Quesadilla (you can bring your food out to the lanes). Luxe, the VIP area in back, can even name-drop celebrities: Tom Cruise and David Beckham have apparently taken the little ones bowling in the four private lanes (complete with a private D.J. and bar). — Ben Lebeaux
