Tracy Westmoreland didn’t change much about the former Ripple Bar before re-crowning it the Manhattans. The long wooden bar cluttered with empty bottles and shot glasses remains, as does the ramshackle back area full of boxes of beer. But there are a few things the owner of the late, great Siberia in Hell’s Kitchen did to spruce the place up a little. A few vases with fake flowers in them — acquired as an SLA kiss-up measure — sit behind the bar, rotating selections of work from local artists are taped up to the exposed brick back wall, and a poster of Clint Eastwood circa “Scraps of Hope” is visible from your swivel bar stool. But the prices — $5 for a shot and a beer and $4 for sixteen ounces of Pabst on draft — are what lure any hesitant Pratt kids past the front windows covered up with newspaper.
