Profile
Mannahatta, the hot spot that closed to make way for an AvroKo’s restaurant, reopened just a couple doors down in the old Crime Scene space. Mannahatta’s Bill Fresko partnered with Crime Scene's owners to relocate the bar, and the old wall panels and a bar made from Costa Rican wood aren’t the only things he brought: He also installed a painting by D.J.-designer Izzy Gold (you may remember him from those GoldBar shirts) and invited graffiti artist Pesu to host live paint-offs on Thursdays. The door policy is not all that strict, but it is enforced by a U.S. Special Forces officer, Terry Schappert, so have those Jersey I.D.'s handy, kids.
