If you don't like crowds and you don't like theme bars, finding a drink near Times Square can be excruciating. But if you do like kitschy corporate-constructed environments with weird soundtracks and gimmicky drink names, Mars 2112, a kind of b-movie sci-fi set, is the best of the lot. Once you get over the sight of mute aliens in rubber-and-spandex costumes, the fake red-rock terrain of Mars 2112 can be silly fun. The bar's "Mars-tinis" and "Cosmos-politans" are some of the best drink specials in Midtown. Chat up misguided tourists, or just sit alone dreaming that you're Han Solo. — Logan Hill

I loved the Marstini! It was a cute play on words. I thought it was priced well too. It definitely beats some other places I've been to by far. Its got a cool atmosphere and is fun for afterwork drinks.

I would just go for the ride(when you get there you'll see) and to check it out for fun. Don't eat there. That's the problem with theme resturants, a lot of hype and quality on the look of the restaurant but the food stinks and is not creative at all. Although, they try to make it sound appetizing with their "alienish" food names. Take your kids they won't mind.
