Yes, Minibar is tiny: Any more than 30 people inside, and you’re pushing it. But good things can come in small packages. Despite its industrial exterior, Minibar is downright cozy inside—the ceiling panels, wood floors, and local artwork hanging on the brick walls make the place feel more like a café than a bar. There’s a persistently cheery, intimate vibe, with local BoCoCa-ers streaming in from after work—and since the place is too far down Court to soak up the spillover from the scene on Smith, it usually isn’t overrun. The big chalkboard in the corner lists all the reds, whites, and beers, plus the house specialty, bourbons and single-malt Scotches: The menu rotates regularly, and all the booze is hand-picked by the staff.
Best of New York: Fun & Nightlife
Cocktails at the movies, a Monday-night bacchanal, and a great rookie-rap show.
