Modest specials draw a local, mid-age crowd who couldn’t care less about the routine décor (wood paneling, wall fans, Grandma’s stained-glass lamps), and that overwhelming toilet smell at this midtown Irish pub. Sports and news programs drone in the background on eight flat-screens, and a small dining area offers up overpriced burgers and chicken sandwiches. X-rated game machines and a modern jukebox offer a little entertainment, although the bar’s lone-wolf customers tend to be more interested in what’s at the bottom of their mugs.
