Mexico meets Marrakech at this classic, cozy and candlelit wine bar and eatery tucked between a Thai curry joint and a trance music boutique— proof that St. Mark's Place is still one of the most eccentric strentches in the city. Noá, named for former Ice Bar proprietor Noah Max, serves a decent selection of South American reds and delectable home-blended sangria (available by half pitcher or full). With its exposed brick walls, Mexican frescos, spacius sectional banquettes, billowing celing tapestries and dim lighting scheme, Noá is earthy and sophisticated but never outré. A light finger-food menu includes burritos, quessadillas, egg rolls and pizza.
