While the majority of the city’s Irish bar corps seems to be channeling a heavy Dublin fog, O’Brien’s goes a bit lighter. The standard pub grub and draft offerings are on hand, but a few décor shake-ups—including two cherrywood bars and a few coats of bright-yellow paint—go a long way. Upstairs is dubbed the "Sin Bin" (the Irish name for a rugby penalty box) and comfortable choices abound: Choose from booths, a plethora of seats at the long bar or, best of all, the balcony, perfect for watching the midtown traffic pass by with a pint and a smoke. In addition to the all the major sport packages and college games, O’Brien’s shows Premier League football and the annual Six Nations rugby tournament.Food Specials
