This low key neo-tavern opened in 1998 and was face-lifted in early summer 2008. Decorated with classic chain-bar kitsch, the duplex bar-restaurant does brisk business with after-work midtown-corporates and the occasional herd of weary tourists. The 17 beers on tap and a broad whiskey selection (including Glenfiddich, Macallan and Glenlivet) are poured and served for a quiet, no-frills clientele who line the downstairs bar. The upstairs dining area, which seats sixty, offers your standard bar menu with hearty, generously-portioned staples: burgers, chicken-wings, and various other deep-fried goodies.
